Terms of Use

By using GeneratePPT, you agree to these Terms.

1) Who we are

This website and service (the “Service”) are operated by aiCarousels AB, Stora Varvsgatan 17B, 211 75 Malmö, Sweden. Contact: Fernando Pessagno on LinkedIn.

If you are an EU consumer, you benefit from mandatory consumer rights in your country. These Terms do not limit those rights.

2) Eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
  • If your country requires a higher age for online consent, you must meet that age or use the Service with parental consent.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.

3) What the Service provides

The Service helps you create slide decks in your browser and export them as PPTX or PDF files. GeneratePPT is provided free of charge, without an account requirement, product usage limits, or an export watermark. AI features require an API key from a supported third-party provider.

4) Your API key and provider charges

  • Supported AI providers are OpenAI and Google Gemini.
  • You are responsible for obtaining a valid provider key and for charges, quotas, and terms attached to that provider account.
  • GeneratePPT does not sell AI credits, add a fee to provider usage, or control the provider's billing.
  • You must not share a key you are not authorized to use.

5) Acceptable use

  • No scraping, crawling, or bulk automated requests that degrade performance.
  • No unlawful use, and no infringement of third-party rights.
  • No attempts to access, probe, reverse engineer, or disrupt our systems.

6) Intellectual property

The Service, website, and branding are owned by us or licensed to us. You keep ownership of the content you create.

We process your content only as needed to operate the Service and provide features you use (including optional AI features).

7) AI features

  • Optional AI tools may help with writing, summarizing, structuring slides, rewriting text, or generating images.
  • AI output may be incorrect or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing and deciding what to use.
  • We do not provide legal, academic, medical, or professional advice and cannot guarantee outcomes.
  • Availability, rate limits, safety rules, and model behavior are controlled by the provider connected with your key.

8) Service changes and termination

We may update, change, or discontinue features over time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms. Where reasonable, we will provide notice of material changes.

9) Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties.

We are not liable for indirect losses or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10) Governing law

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict of laws rules. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you may bring proceedings in your local courts or in Sweden. In all other cases, the courts of Stockholm, Sweden have exclusive jurisdiction.

What data we process

  • Deck content you create (text, slide structure, and related data) that may be stored locally in your browser to keep the editor fast.
  • API key settings that remain in memory unless you choose to save them in your browser's local storage.
  • Files you upload (for example PDF or DOCX) for features you choose to use. Depending on the feature, processing may occur in your browser and/or on our servers or service providers.
  • Diagnostics (basic logs and error reports) to keep the Service reliable and prevent abuse.

AI processing

When you use an AI feature, the request includes your selected provider, your API key, and the text or image material needed to produce the result. Our server forwards that request to OpenAI or Google Gemini. The GeneratePPT application does not persist your API key in a database, file, account, or server-side session, and does not intentionally include it in application logs.

Saving the key in your browser is optional. If selected, the key remains in local storage on your device until you remove it or clear site data. AI requests are also subject to the selected provider's terms and data controls. You control what you submit, and you can use the non-AI editor features without a key.

Legal bases

  • Contract: to provide the generation, editing, and export actions you request.
  • Legitimate interests: to maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
  • Consent: where required for cookies or optional processing.

Retention

  • Local editor data remains until you clear your browser storage or delete it within the app (if available).
  • Saved API keys remain only in your browser until you remove the key or clear site data.
  • AI request data and API keys are not intentionally retained by GeneratePPT after a request is completed. The selected provider applies its own retention policy.
  • Security diagnostics may be retained for a limited period when needed to investigate reliability or abuse.

Your rights

Depending on your location (including GDPR in the EU/EEA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, and to object to certain processing.

Cookie Notice

Browser storage and cookies are small records stored on your device. They support preferences, local deck storage, and the optional saving of your API key.

Types of cookies

  • Local storage: keeps decks and, only when you opt in, your API key on your device.
  • Functional cookies: remember preferences such as language when implemented.
  • Third-party cookies: used by services we rely on (see below).

Third-party services we use

  • Google Fonts to load fonts used by the website and editor.
  • Pexels (if enabled in the editor) for stock image search.
  • OpenAI or Google Gemini, selected by you, for AI content and image generation.

Managing cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent the Service from working correctly.
